■ Background and Objectives of the Challenge – Our Vision –
A group of volunteers from local shipbuilding, maritime businesses, towel-related businesses, and cycling organizations have come together
to establish the "Imabari-Shimanami Kaido Charm Promotion Committee."
The Shimanami Kaido is Japan's first national cycling route; Imabari is Japan's leading maritime city; and Imabari towels are a brand that Japan is proud of.
We want to share these world-class local industries and the overwhelming charm of Imabari-Shimanami Kaido with the world.
With this strong desire, this project has been launched, bringing together the entire community to challenge a world record.
