■ What is Michi-no-Eki Tatara Shimanami Park?

The venue will be the popular roadside station "Tatara Shimanami Park," located right off the Omishima Interchange on the Ehime Prefecture side of the Shimanami Kaido

This viewpoint offers a spectacular panoramic view of the world-renowned and beautiful Tatara Bridge, and is adjacent to the "Cyclist's Holy Site Monument," a place of aspiration for cyclists.
The park's restaurant allows you to fully enjoy fresh local seafood, including the rare and highly prized fish, Mahata, while the souvenir shop boasts a wide selection of over 1,500 local specialty products!
In particular, we recommend the limited-edition items that can only be purchased here, such as the "Setoka Cheesecake Confectionery" made with the island's non-standard citrus fruits, produced by "Shimanyami Shoten," a brand that promotes the charms of the Shimanami Kaido and Imabari.
Be sure to enjoy a full day exploring the charms of Omishima Island, along with the event!

■ Background and Objectives of the Challenge – Our Vision –

A group of volunteers from local shipbuilding, maritime businesses, towel-related businesses, and cycling organizations have come together
to establish the "Imabari-Shimanami Kaido Charm Promotion Committee."
The Shimanami Kaido is Japan's first national cycling route; Imabari is Japan's leading maritime city; and Imabari towels are a brand that Japan is proud of.
We want to share these world-class local industries and the overwhelming charm of Imabari-Shimanami Kaido with the world.
With this strong desire, this project has been launched, bringing together the entire community to challenge a world record.
