This is a beginner-friendly experience course where you can enjoy recreational fishing aboard a fishing boat.
A rental fishing rod, bait, and gloves are included, so you can come empty-handed!
You can enjoy your catch as a barbecue or sashimi at the Yoshiumi Ikiiki-kan roadside station. Of course, you can also take your catch home.
In addition to your catch, a BBQ ingredient set is also included in the price, so you can relax even if you don't catch anything! Enjoy the surprise of what you might catch!

About the recreational fishing boat experience

About reservations
- Reservations are required at least one week before the date of use
- Reservations are accepted for groups of 3 or more adults (maximum 7 people)
- Reservations made by phone are only tentative. Please fill out the inquiry form with your name, address, number of people, date and time, etc., and send it to us via email.
Your reservation will be confirmed once we reply to you and we receive your deposit (30% of the total amount).
If the above conditions are not met and the reservation is not confirmed, it will be treated as a cancellation
Please contact us by phone or through the inquiry form at least one week in advance.
*Depending on the date and content, we may not be able to accommodate your request or accept your reservation.
About payment
A deposit (30% of the total amount) is required for reservations. (Bank transfer fees will be borne by the customer.)
The remaining amount should be paid on the day of use when you complete the boarding procedures.

If you cancel within one month prior to the reservation date, we will charge you 30% of the deposit as a cancellation fee. If the amount exceeds this, you will be required to make an additional transfer
- The period for which the request is accepted is during the business days (Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays) and business hours (9:00-17:00) of our "Head Office Reservation Department."
- (1) Due to the operating days of our "Head Office Reservation Department," if the day before the date of use falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, the last business day prior to the date of use will be considered the "day before."
- Cancellations due to personal reasons, including illness, will be subject to cancellation fees
- In the event of a cancellation due to our circumstances (such as flight cancellations due to typhoons), we will refund your advance payment
- Please note that we will not allow you to board if you have been drinking alcohol. In that case, your reservation will be considered cancelled due to customer convenience and cancellation fees will be charged
≪Requests Regarding Use≫
- On the day of departure, please come to the reception desk inside the Yoshiumi Ikiiki-kan roadside station shop at least 30 minutes before departure to complete boarding procedures and payment
- Please fill out the passenger manifest when you check in on the day of departure.
Alternatively, you can fill out the passenger manifest below and submit it in advance via email, or submit it at the reception desk on the day of departure. - Please use the restroom and gather at Shimoda Port at least 10 minutes before departure. *There are no restrooms on board the ship
- You are welcome to bring your own fishing rods and other fishing equipment
- Crocs sandals are also acceptable footwear
- You are welcome to bring and use your own fishing rods and other fishing equipment
- After your fishing experience, you can use the shower facilities in the Shimoda Port waiting room free of charge.
(Please bring your own shampoo, body soap, towels, etc.) - Bringing your own food, seasonings, and beverages into the barbecue area at Ikiikikan is not permitted.
*You may bring in fish you catch using this plan. Please inform the barbecue staff at Ikiikikan on the day of your visit. We will prepare the fish for you to use in the barbecue.
*If you wish to take your caught fish home, there will be an additional charge for a styrofoam container. You are also welcome to bring your own cooler box. - We will operate in normal rainy weather conditions
≪Requests Regarding Boarding≫
Notes
- Please be sure to wear a life jacket. (They are provided on board.)
- Please do not walk around the ship while sailing as it may suddenly sway due to tides and waves. Please be especially careful if you have small children.
- Seawater may enter the ship due to tides and waves. Thank you for your understanding.
- Pets are not allowed on board
- You cannot board the boat after drinking. We do not accept any fire or any cutlery or alcohol that is excluding some fires or other items.
- Please refrain from boarding if you are unwell or have a fever.
- If it is determined that it will interfere with safe flights, the flight may be cancelled on the day. (typhoons, heavy rain, storms, heavy snow, dense fog, lightning strikes, etc.)
