1. About roadside stations in general
- What are your business hours? Are there any closing days?

This varies depending on the facility. Please see the individual roadside station pages for details.
Also, please check the announcements regularly as there may be temporary closures or reduced operating hours. - Can I make a restaurant reservation?

For reservations, a minimum of 5 people is required, and you will need to decide on your menu in advance.
*If everyone requests a different menu item, there may be a delay in serving.Please make your reservation with 1-2 menu options depending on the number of people.
*Reservations are not accepted during peak seasons such as New Year's, Golden Week, and Obon. - Do I need to make a reservation to use the restaurant or Ikiikikan BBQ?

Even if you don't have a reservation, we will seat you on a first-come, first-served basis on the day
- Is parking free?

Parking is free
*Please note that we cannot be held responsible for theft or accidents
- Can I park the bus?

We also have bus parking. Please contact us in advance if you plan to park, as it may be crowded depending on the reservation status
- Is there any means of transportation?

The main means of transportation are private cars, express buses and local buses, taxis, rental cars, and rental bicycles
- Are there any accessible toilets?

Reservations for general bicycle rentals are accepted at the bicycle rental terminals adjacent to each roadside station

We offer discount benefits that can be used on the Shimanami Kurushima Strait Pleasure Boat and at various facilities (Roadside Station Yoshiumi Ikiikikan, Roadside Station Hakata S.C. 2. About Roadside Station Yoshiumi Ikiikikan
- Can I make a reservation for a barbecue at Yoshiumi Ikiikikan?

Reservations are accepted via the reservation form, email, or phone. Please reserve a table only or choose from the set menu in advance
*Set menu reservations must be made for two people or more
- Is it possible to bring food, seasonings, and drinks to the Yoshiumi Ikiikikan barbecue?

We are sorry, but please refrain from bringing any food into the venue (except baby food)
- Can we have a barbecue even if it's raining?

You will be barbecuing under a tent, so it's okay if it rains
- Is it hot/cold outside?

If it's hot, we have blinds and fans, and if it's cold, we have curtains and heaters
- Can I bring my pet to the barbecue at Yoshiumi Ikiikikan?

We have pet-friendly seating available. However, please note that we cannot accept reservations in advance. Please come to the restaurant on the day and we will accommodate you if there are any pet-friendly seats available
3. About Roadside Station Tatara Shimanami Park
- Can I bring pets into the restaurant or shop?

As a general rule, pets are not allowed inside restaurants or shops
* Guide dogs are allowed inside the restaurant.
* Outdoor seating (terrace seating) is available, but please be considerate of other customers. - Can I sleep in my car in the parking lot? Are there facilities such as showers?

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's view is that roadside stations are rest facilities, and therefore the use of public spaces such as parking lots for overnight stays is discouraged. Of course, roadside stations are rest facilities that drivers and others can use free of charge 24 hours a day to prevent traffic accidents, so you are free to take a nap in the parking lot. Outdoor toilets are available 24 hours a day, but there are no facilities such as showers
*If parking for an extended period, please park in a spot as far to the side as possible to be considerate of other customers.
*Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for theft or accidents.
*Please take your trash with you.
*Camping, setting up tents, bonfires, and barbecues are not permitted. - I'd like to make a reservation at Tatara Campground

4. About the Shimanami Kurushima Strait Sightseeing Boat

- Are there any days when the service is suspended?

The closing days and operating hours of the service will be the same as those of the Yoshiumi Ikiikikan Roadside Station
- How long does the Shimanami Kurushima Kaikyo Sightseeing Boat operate?

The boat ride takes approximately 50 minutes
*Please complete boarding procedures at the Yoshiumi Ikiikikan Roadside Station at least 30 minutes before departure
- Are there any boarding discounts?

Group discounts are available (10% off boarding fee for groups of 10 or more people)
Additionally, although it is not a discount on the ferry fare, you can receive a discount coupon that can be used at a later date by presenting or submitting your JAF card or Setomare ticket. For more details, please see the PDF file below
- Can I make a reservation?

Reservations can be made for two or more people. Each boat can accommodate up to 42 people. For groups exceeding this capacity, please contact us by phone or email
- Do I need to make a reservation?

Even if you don't have a reservation, we operate for groups of 2 or more, so if there are seats available, you can board on the day
*Even if you are traveling alone, if there are other people boarding, you can share the boat
- How do I make a reservation?

Reservations can be made online, by phone or by fax
- Can children board the boat?

There is no age limit for boarding. Infants and small children are asked to board at their own discretion and risk
- Do flights operate in the rain? Are flights cancelled?

The boat will operate even in the rain. Raincoats are available for free rental at the port
*Flights may be canceled on the day if there is heavy rain, strong winds, heavy snow, lightning, dense fog, typhoons, or other conditions that interfere with safe navigation
- Will I get wet?

The boat has no windows, so depending on the weather on the day, it may be exposed to rain or the tide. In case of rain, raincoats are available for free rental at the port
- Is it cold?

Since it gets cold in winter, we offer free rental of warm clothing such as bench coats.
Even in early spring and late autumn, it can feel chilly when you're out at sea due to the sea breeze, so it might be a good idea to dress warmly. - Can I bring luggage?

You can bring luggage that can fit on your lap. Large luggage, food and drinks, firearms, and knives are not allowed.
There is a possibility of getting wet from rain or seawater, so it may be better to keep your belongings in your car or in a locker. - Does the boat rock? Will I get seasick?

Depending on the tide level, wind strength, and whether large ships are sailing nearby, the boat may be bumpy.
If you are prone to seasickness, you might want to take motion sickness medication beforehand. - I am a large person. Can I still wear a life jacket?

Larger sizes are also available. If the size you have prepared does not fit, please inform the captain or guide at the port
- Can I board with a wheelchair or stroller?

Wheelchairs and strollers cannot be boarded or carried on board. Please leave them in your car or at the port and only passengers may board
- Can I bring pets on board?

Guide dogs are allowed on board (please contact us in advance if you have many dogs)
