A magnificent bridge that connects them with the islands scattered across the beautiful sea.
The beauty of the Shimanami Kaido is a blend of rich nature and people's lives, giving us time to relax.
We read the scenery of the Shimanami Kaido as "Shimanami Scenes."

Omishima
Sunrise Itoyama

The Setouchi Shimanami Kaido begins and finishes here! This cycling terminal provides comprehensive support to cyclists, with bicycle rentals, meals, souvenir shops, accommodation, and the Kurushima Strait observation deck. Not only is it a fulfilling cycling oasis, but it also offers a one-stop view of the multifaceted and diverse landscapes of the Kurushima Strait, making ITOYAMA a mecca that attracts cyclists from all over the world!

Ikuguchi Island
Natural Green Farm
Taiyaki

"Lemon Taiyaki" is a taiyaki filled with plenty of bean paste and dough soaked in the juice of organic lemons grown on the island's own farm. It's a big hit with locals, and takeout orders are constantly flowing. Enjoy this lemon island sweet treat with a homemade "Lemon Vinegar Drink" made with chopped organic lemon peels, while watching cyclists riding past in the sunlight directly below the terrace facing the sea!

Ikuguchi Island
Setoda Sunset Beach

From the approximately 800m white sand beach, you can see the silhouettes of the islands of Hyotanjima, Omishima, Okunoshima, and Takaneshima, as well as a panoramic view of the five Goliath cranes at Imabari Shipbuilding Hiroshima Factory and the tallest power transmission tower in Japan (223m) towering over Okunoshima, known as the "skyscraper of the ocean." This is a scenic spot where the white sand beach, the beauty of the islands, and the beauty of the landscape are in dynamic yet delicate harmony.
