A magnificent bridge that connects them with the islands scattered across the beautiful sea.

Omishima
Miyanoura Port

In the past, worshippers at Oyamazumi Shrine would worship the three sacred mountains (Washigazumeyama, Yasugamiyama, and Omiyama) from aboard a boat, then pass through the first torii gate in front of the dock and disembark on the sacred island of Oshima. The tranquil cove, the pier with its vermilion-painted pillars and roofed torii gate, and the large torii gate are truly characteristic of Miyanoura.

Omishima
Oyamazumi Shrine

The main shrine of Japan, enshrined as the god of the mountains and the god of the sea. You cannot talk about Omishima without visiting Oyamazumi Shrine. If you have time, head to the Treasure Museum nestled deep within the shrine grove. Approximately 80% of the nation's national treasures and important cultural properties, including armor and helmets donated from the mid-Heian period through the Sengoku period, are stored and exhibited here. The island of the gods is also known as the "island of national treasures."

Brewery

A local beer brewery facing Omishima directly. The store's layout and furnishings retain the feel of an old-fashioned house, and the beer, flavored with the island's pesticide-free citrus fruits, exudes the Seto Inland Sea climate. This brewery that makes delicious beer also offers soft drinks! Toast to the bounty of Omishima with an original juice made by a beer artisan, squeezed from seasonal citrus fruits!
