The reasons for the above changes are as follows:
The route offered by the sightseeing boat includes many wonderful sights besides the strong currents, such as the shipbuilding docks in Hatohama Bay, historical sites related to the Murakami pirates and the Russo-Japanese War, and the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge. The aim is to promote these sights and let more people know about the Kurushima Strait. We want the name to reflect that
the boat is designed to allow people to enjoy the Kurushima Strait area, focusing on the Kurushima Strait, one of Japan's three major strong currents, the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge, the world's first triple suspension bridge, and the shipbuilding facilities of Imabari, Japan's leading maritime city, while also exploring the history of Kojima and Kurushima.
